UEDP-MEDHIN's Vision:

Individual Freedom
UEDP-MEDHIN is committed to the flourishing of pluralistic society where the democratic and human rights of the individual Ethiopian are fully respected and uncompromisingly protected.
Responsibility
UEDP-MEDHIN believes that the enjoyment of rights must be accompanied by responsibilities of behaving honestly. Such responsibilities must be exercised:
- By individuals towards each other and towards the community of which they are part;
- By civic societies - be they traditional or modern towards each other and the society that supports them; and
- By the government towards its own people and towards the people of other governments.
Transparency
UEDP-MEDHIN is committed to the principles of transparency in all its activities. Every person has the right to know the planning, implementation, follow-up, and evaluation process of matters that directly or indirectly affect his/her life.
