UEDP-MEDHIN believes that the enjoyment of rights must be accompanied by responsibilities of behaving honestly. Such responsibilities must be exercised:

• By individuals towards each other and towards the community of which they are part;
• By civic societies - be they traditional or modern towards each other and the society that supports them; and
• By the government towards its own people and towards the people of other governments.
